  6. 1. WHAT IS IT
  7.     T-Node - is a powerfull nodelist browser which work within T-Mail.
  8.     It has some tools and features. But only fidonet public can define
  9.     it... ;-)
  10.  
  11. 2. HOW TO MAKE
  12.     Copy somewhere files T-NODE.EXE and T-NODE.CTL.
  13. On default the config file with name T-NODE.CTL in directory where T-NODE.EXE
  14. located is used, but it is possible through command line to set the other name.
  15.  
  16.     T-Node has some command-line parameters
  17.     -C<config file>   - alternate configuration file.
  18.     -INDEX            - build new nodelist index and exit.
  19.     -F                - only filebrowser mode
  20.     <address>         - node address for startup or for -F parameter.

  23.     In file T-NODE.CTL are contained follow commands

  25.     ADDRESS 2:463/67
  26.         Your net address.
  27.  
  28.     UTC +3
  29.         Timing zone.

  31.     FILE_BOXES C:\MODEM\OUTBOUND\
  32.         T-Mail filebox path.

  35.         Nodelist path where must be fresh NDXLIST.T-? and where be create
  36.         personal T-Node index.

  56.         Variable, specifying colour of display according to border,
  57.         heading, information about nodes, line of search, nodelist line,
  58.         cursor,help windows and warning messages. The format too simple -
  59.         colour of symbol, colour of background.
  60.         Allowable of by colour.
  61.         BLACK BLUE GREEN CYAN RED MAGENTA BROWN WHITE LIGHTBLACK LIGHTBLUE

  64.         The allocation of units by different colors relative to flags or
  65.         attributes of node is possible. The illumination goes not certainly on
  66.         all line, and on mentioned columns, screen enables to color as wants.
  67.         The format of flags selecting
  68.     FLAG | UFLAG < flag > < forecolor > < backcolor > < column > | FULL <.. >
  69.         < flag > - any from existing flags. But at use of instruction UFLAG
  70.                  it can be and telephone, and sysop surname. You can
  71.                  specify '!' before <flag> - it will be accepted as NOT.
  72.         < column > - column name, which will coloring at availability flags on
  73.                  station.
  74.         FULL - all line                        ADDRESS - column of address
  75.         STATION - field with name of station   NAME - field with sysop name
  76.         FLAGS - flags field
  77.         Is possible to be indicated the some columns for coloring -
  78.         see below.

  80.     FLAG CM YELLOW BLACK NAME
  81.         To indicate yellow on black sysop names, stations of which
  82.         work CM.
  83.     FLAG ZYX LIGHTGREEN BLACK STATION
  84.         To indicate lightgreen on black station with Zyxel.
  85.     FLAG HOLD RED BLACK FULL
  86.     FLAG DOWN RED BLACK FULL
  87.         To indicate red all stations in hold or down mode. The point stands
  88.         for it, that the stations with names such HoldNext were not allocated.
  89.         Selected all line
  90.     UFLAG 7-044-244 YELLOW BLUE ADDRESS NAME
  91.         To indicate yellow on dark blue station in Kiev, located on 244
  92.         telephone station.
  93.         Sysop name and address are highlighted.
  94.     UFLAG  !ZYX BLACK BLACK FULL
  95.         All station without Zyxel will be unvisible ;)

  99.     NOBLINK
  100.         If wants to have 16 colors of background without blinking - use this
  101.         command.

  103.     TOP, LEFT, HIGH, WIDTH
  104.         According to coordinate of left-hand top corner, high and
  105.         width of window, in which the viewing will be produced. Maximum
  106.         values setting reliable to current video-mode.

  108.     MAX_WINDOW
  109.         Create full screen window for current video mode.
  110.  
  111.     L_STATION,L_NAME
  112.         The width of fields with names of station and sysop name. The sizes
  113.         of fields of address and flags are fixed.
  114.  
  115.     TIMEOUT
  116.         The time on seconds of expectation of depression of keys. On
  117.         expiration of time the program terminates the work. The value 0
  118.         switches off this option.
  119.         Works only in DOS.
  120.  
  121.     NOSOUND
  122.         Prevent from beeping in some time.
  123.  
  124.     NOASK
  125.         Disable onexit asking.
  126.  
  127.     BINK
  128.         Generate freq and attach in Bink-style. From keyboard available only
  129.         F2,F3,Shift-F2,Shift-F3 commands.

  132.         Create messages without FLAGS kludge.

  134.     INS_DOWN
  135.         Move cursor down, when You select files in FileBrowser.

  137.     FULL_INFO
  138.         Display info about current node on the bottom of screen.

  141.         If node hasn't points - it will be displayed without .0

  143.     SUBST C:\MODEM\T-MAIL\SUBST.CTL
  144.         Path and name of SUBST-list, where additional info about node will
  145.         be searched.

  154.     Well, all parameters can be set via DOS/OS2 settings such as in T-MAIL.

  169. 3. HOW TO WORK
  170.     After start T-NODE by automatic output the net, where your main address
  171. present. If You specify in command line parameter -INDEX - in this case T-NODE
  172. rebuild or build index and exit after finish.
  173.     The allowable keys:

  175.     F1 -                    Help. Type it in some time.
  176.  
  177.     UP, DOWN, PGUP, PGDN -  Well,, hope, clearly.
  178.     HOME, END -             Go to top/bottom of page.
  179.     ^PGUP, ^PGDN
  180.     ^HOME, ^END  -          Go to top/bottom of list.
  181.     ENTER -                 The information about node. If is present user
  182.                             Σ½áú U, T, is displaying the operating time of
  183.                             station in relative to time zone ( UTC is taken
  184.                             from T-MAIL.CTL ).
  185.     LEFT, RIGHT -           The transition in other modes of viewing. The
  186.                             regimes following:
  187.                             The list of zones;
  188.                             The list of regions in zone;
  189.                             The list of nets in region;
  190.                             The list of nodes in net;
  191.                             The list of points in node.

  193.     Yes, the search is present.During input of number, you by automatic
  194. device fall on appropriate node, point, region in dependence on it, that
  195. now on screen. After setting up 69 you fall on 69 ¡«ñπ, and after pressing
  196. ^ENTER - on 690. Set up not the number node, and text, search too will
  197. happen, but on nodelist information. Frankly speaking, search ALWAYS goes
  198. on information from nodelist, therefore to set up CM - and to press ^ENTER,
  199. cursor will set to CM's node. Well,, and in general very convenient to
  200. search node by surname or by station name or by telephone. The key SPACE
  201. clears the field of enter.

  203.     F2 - generate attach for specified node.
  204.  
  205.     F4 - generate attach for specified node via file-box directory.
  206.  
  207.     F6 - generate attach for specified node within tobesent.$$$ file in
  208.          file-box directory.
  209.  
  210.     F8 - generate freq to specified node. If You type symbol "@" and
  211.     filename it - this file will be used as filelist and all files from
  212.     filelist will be frequed.
  213.  
  214.     F9 - generate poll to specified node.
  215.  
  216.     F10 - generate repack flag for specified node for T-Master.
  217.  
  218.     If filename started from "^" symbol - it will be erased after
  219.     transmission.
  220.  
  221.     If filename started from "~" symbol - it will be placed on hold for
  222.     specified node.

  224.     If filename started from "@" symbol - it will be placed on hold for
  225.     specified node and will be erased after sending.

  227.     For attaches You can define group command such as
  228.     "D:\T-NODE.DOC ^D:\T-MAIL\*.CTL"

  231.     Control-H ( ^H ) - when viewing nodes in net is searched for hub, to which
  232. the given node relates and is given out whole hub-down of it hub. The exit
  233. from this mode - key LEFT.
  234.  
  235.     Control-F (^F) - choice files for attach via FileBrowser.
  236.  
  237.     Control-A (^A) - choice files for attach to some specified node (may be
  238.                      Unlisted).
  239.  
  240.     Control-I (^I) - toggle on/off full info display.
  241.  
  242.     Control-T (^T) - try to read info about current node from SUBST.CTL
  243.  
  244.     Alt-T (Alt-T)  - display enhanced info about node using nodelist and
  245.                      Subst.

  247. 4.FILEBROWSER
  248.  
  249.     Now added FileBrowser as power tool. You can move cursor using standard
  250. keyboard cursor keys. Disk change - within combination Alt- disk name.
  251. You can't select floppy (nonsense). When You select file You can try to view
  252. description from FILES.BBS if it present. Wizard key - Ctrl-I.
  253. Ok, how to attach files
  254.     F5          - via netmail
  255.     F6          - the same, but with Erase/Send attribute
  256.  
  257.     When You attach files via netmail, You must answer on question like
  258. "Do You want to send message directly?".
  259.  
  260.     Ctrl -Fn    - via filebox
  261.     Alt -Fn     - via TOBESENT.$$$
  262.     Shift -Fn   - with Hold attribute
  263.      And some combination
  264.     Alt-Shift-F6 - attach via tobesent.$$$ in hold filebox with Erase/Sent
  265.         attribute

  267.     If You start to type filename Browser try to find such file.
  268.     You can select some files.

  271. 5. TOTAL
  272.     Like useful the program was received. As usually write, great thnx for
  273. Andy Elkin for his T-MAIL. As thank you very much Alexander Fedorko (Alex Black
  274. 2:463/69 , which not specially interfered to write the program, but very
  275. assisted by art councils. I can't forget Jury Fradkin (2:5030/50.34) for
  276. testing and limitness fantasy. Ok, and great thanks to All, for moral
  277. supporting and ideas.

  281.     Now added new feature - registration. If You are registered user - You
  282.     hasn't any, but only moral fun from text "Registered to". I hasn't any
